If you're here, chances are you're exhausted.

Maybe you're the teen who stays up late re-reading texts, worrying about saying the wrong thing. The student who gets good grades but never feels proud of them. The young adult who looks like they have it all together, yet secretly wonders why life feels so overwhelming.

Or maybe you're a parent watching your child struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, emotional outbursts, or self-doubt—and you're not sure how to help anymore.

I want you to know something:

You don't have to keep pushing through on your own. I can help!

For years, I've worked with teens, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, life transitions, perfectionism, and the overwhelming pressure to meet everyone's expectations. I've sat with clients who appear confident and successful on the outside but are battling constant self-criticism, overthinking, and fear of failure on the inside.

They're tired of feeling like their worth depends on their performance.

They're tired of comparing themselves to everyone else.

They're tired of never feeling "good enough."

And maybe you are too.

Let’s harness your perfectionism as a superpower so you can live life to the fullest and feel joyful again.

You don't have to keep carrying the pressure alone.

Angie Yemma, LCAT, BC-DMT

Anxiety & ADHD Therapist in New York

I've always been drawn to helping people reconnect with themselves—not the version they think they should be, but the person underneath all the pressure, expectations, and self-doubt. The version that is sucessful, happy, fulfilled, and joyful.

As a therapist and a mom, I understand how easy it is to get caught up in doing more, achieving more, and constantly striving for the next thing. Our culture often rewards perfectionism and busyness, making it difficult to slow down and recognize when we're struggling.

What I love most about therapy is watching clients discover that they don't have to earn their worth. They are already worthy and helping you find that confidence is a gift.

They can be successful without being consumed by anxiety and worry.

They can be ambitious without constantly criticizing themselves and find their perfectionism as a superpower.

They can learn to trust themselves, set boundaries, and feel confident in who they are.

Therapy with Angie Yemma LCAT, BC-DMT is…

Collaborative, warm, and genuine.

You'll find a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out. That is what we do together.

Together we'll explore:

  • The anxiety and overthinking keeping you stuck to help you feel confident about your choices

  • The perfectionism that makes mistakes feel unbearable and figure out how to use perfectionism as a superpower

  • The people-pleasing that leaves you disconnected from your own needs and leaves you feeling empty

  • The self-critical thoughts that tell you you're falling behind so that you can eventually trust your inner voice

  • The life transitions that have you questioning yourself and your future

I integrate talk therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), positive psychology, and body-based approaches including Dance/Movement Therapy. Sometimes words are not enough. Sometimes we need to notice what our bodies have been holding onto for years.

My goal isn't to "fix" you. It is to help guide you to acceptance, freedom, and joy.

It's to help you build a healthier relationship with yourself so you can move through life with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion. Ready to begin?

The change you will feel

Imagine waking up feeling assured, free, and full of joy.

Imagine trusting yourself instead of constantly seeking reassurance. Imagine feeling proud of who you are and using your ambition to its fullest.

Imagine feeling confident, joyful and worthy. Imagine choosing to do things for yourself because that is what makes you happy.

That's the work we do together. And I'd be honored to help you get there.

Angie Yemma, LCAT, BC-DMT Long Island, NY

Hi! I am a mom (covid baby), dog lover, dancer in the kitchen, wife, and a loyal friend. I enjoy reality TV (Love Island UK & USA), am a book lover (romance fantasy!), love traveling the world, riding my bike, listening to music in my car with the windows down, and living life to the fullest. I am also a person who used to struggle with always getting things done perfectly, pleasing others, and losing the joy in the everyday things. I bring my whole self to the therapeutic space which includes my humor, laughter, tears, and joy. My desire is that during our time together you find joy again and learn to live life to the fullest.

I’ve always danced and been curious about human behavior. As a teen and young adult I was always the person my friends would get advice from, ask for help, and seek out when they were struggling. I’ve been called the listener, leader, confidant, and loyal for my whole life. I take pride in being a safe space for others.

I believe that moving your body helps move feelings through you. Being in your body helps you better understand yourself and others. I have been known as the gal who will be first on the dance floor since I was a young kid. It would be my honor to help you build confidence, self compassion, and bring joy back into your life. Join me in person located in Rockville Centre, NY or virtually throughout New York.

Healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has always been enough. If you're looking for compassionate, body-based therapy for anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, or life's transitions, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
