Using Dance & Movement to Build Confidence, Connection & Communication

Does your child struggle with making friends, reading social cues, or joining group play? Our Social and Friendship Skills Group helps elementary-age children grow in confidence, empathy, and communication—all through the power of dance/movement therapy!

This engaging, creative group uses body-based techniques, playful movement games, and structured social practice to help kids:

  • Understand emotions (their own and others’)

  • Practice teamwork and turn-taking

  • Learn how to enter and exit play

  • Build empathy, trust, and self-regulation

  • Develop confidence in social interactions

Led by a licensed dance/movement therapist, this group creates a fun, nurturing space for children to explore social connection through movement, rhythm, and creativity.

Perfect For Kids Who:

  • Feel shy, anxious, or overwhelmed in social settings

  • Have difficulty making or keeping friends

  • Experience ADHD, social communication challenges, or emotional regulation struggles

  • Thrive with movement-based learning
